GEOTHERMAL POWER

Geothermal power plants use the heat of the deep Earth. A great depth, the interior of the Earth is very hot. The heat probably comes from radioactive decay (a process of nuclear origin) of the rocks. Through tears of rock layers due to subsidence of the crust or volcanic eruptions, water and steam that is heated depths rise towards the surface and can be used as a heat source or to produce electricity.
